Indoor Facilities

In addition we use nearby indoor school facilities for poor weather days if we need to hold camp inside on days with heavy rain. In years past we have used PS 75 (West 95th Street) or PS 165 (West 109th Street).  On extremely hot days our basketball camp also may utilize the air conditioned facilities for their program. We also may utilize the new Riverside Park field House located in the park on West 102nd Street for air conditioning breaks during hot days or cover in case of rain.  In addition the field house has one of two new bathroom facilities we use at camp.

The Ellington in the Park

The Ellington serves as a home base for us at camp and is located right in the middle of our camp grounds.  Our main camp bathrooms are located here, our camp directors supervise the program from here, we provide campers lunch daily from the restaurant for those who use our lunch program and we use the large tent and structure for cover during any sudden rain to protect our campers. We wrap up camp each week with our awards ceremony in front of the Ellington. In addition our certified medical athletic trainers are stationed here to ensure they can reach our campers quickly if any medical issue on site.
